How we get the personal information and why we have it:

The Personal Information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us. Nonetheless, it broadly falls into the following categories:

  • to fulfil orders for customers

  • to respond to form submissions or enquiries from customers or visitors

  • to improve our services through the use of cookies for customers and visitors

We do not buy, sell or otherwise benefit from personal information and your personal information is not shared by us for any other reason.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing your personal information are: 

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting gdpr@davecox.photography, or by adjusting your cookie setting for our website

(b) We have a contractual obligation.

How we store your and dispose of personal information:

Your personal information is securely stored electronically. We keep records of visitors, from general enquiries for 12 months, and those of customers for a long as required to satisfy our legal obligations, such as warranties and tax compliance. If you subscribe to a Distribution List, you will remain on that list until you choose to unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link at the footer of every mailshot. We dispose of your information by electronic deletion.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

  • Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

  • Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

  • Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

  • You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
